Once there has been contact made by an employee or family member, we are committed to seeing them through to problem resolution. We take the care to refer to a professional who has specific expertise in the problem area identified by the client. To that end, we have compiled a comprehensive network of service providers who have extensive experience in individual, couples, and family counselling, crisis and trauma counselling, critical incident debriefing, and drug and addiction assessment. As well, we are sensitive to harassment issues that can impact employee safety, legality and security concerns. One of the strengths of our associative counselling network is that our clients can see a counsellor close to their home or other place of convenience, rather than travel to a central office. We also offer the option of telephone counselling based solely on employee preference. We do not persuade clients to use telephone counselling as a substitute for providing higher quality in-person services. We do not exert any pressure on our counsellors to conform to a session average below the agreed upon session model that we have committed to provide. Our clients are able to maintain continuity of relationship and service by arranging to continue to meet with their counsellor on their own terms should longer term counselling be required. When counselling sessions over and above the EAP coverage are negotiated and agreed upon between the employee and the counsellor, C. J. Brown & Associates Inc. does not receive any compensation for these extra sessions. In short, we offer a flexible client focused service based on a thorough understanding of the specific factors associated with a particular industry, the unique needs of each employee, and our commitment to fulfilling the terms of our contracts.
